Brief Answer:
requires a consultation with a specialist

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXX,
Thanks for posting your query in HCM,

I have gone through the attached reports and you seem have some variations in the thyroid levels; serum cholesterol; liver function test.
I will comment on this in detail-
1. Thyroid levels: You seem to have a TSH value on the higher side with normal T3 and T4 levels. To find out the proper functioning of the thyroid glands I would suggest you to do Free T3 and T4 levels; as elevated TSH and low Free T3 and T4 could mean hypothyroidism.

2. Serum cholesterol: You seem to have your cholesterol levels remarkably high which in my view requires a consultation with a specialist and you may need to start with statins (which is a class of drug needed to reduce cholesterol levels). You are also required to modify your diet with less consumption of fats, oily foods. Also engage more in physical exercise which will help burning your fat.

3. Liver function test ( SGPT)- high levels of SGPT indicates liver damage though it is entirely contributed by elevated levels of both SGOT and SGPT. You are required to avoid any drinking habits if at all to avoid further damage to liver. It may also be due to fatty liver for which you are required to cut down on fat consumption.

Hope I have answered to your query,

Brief Answer:
Internal medicine specialist would be enough

Detailed Answer:
Hi again,
Thanks for the follow up query,

For serum cholesterol, an Internal medicine specialist would be enough to provide you with the right treatment.
If you would require a further consultation for your thyroid profiles, then a general surgeon would be enough to provide you with further treatment, provided any abnormality if found in your free T3 and T4 levels.

Hope this helps

Hi Doctor,

Thank you for the reply. For performing the free T3 & T4 test, should I consult an endocrinologist? Or do I approach an authorized lab and get it done? Thanks.

Brief Answer:
free T3 and T4 can be done from any authorized labs

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXX,
Thanks for the follow up query,

A free T3 and T4 can be done from any authorized labs available in your area. You need to be in overnight fasting (8-10 hours) which is a pre- requisite for the test.
Once you get the result, you may consider consulting with an endocrinologist for a proper examination and further treatment.

Hope I have answered to your query,
Regards
