Suggest Remedies For Back Pain Post A Surgery

Posted on Thu, 30 Jun 2016
Question: I have had back surgery in the past. The pain never went away and I have had to take two to three norco tabs a day ever since. The pain has suddenly become much worse and seems to be nerve pain, which can be almost unbearable. I am taking the same two to three norco but am still in a lot of pain. I am told that I havethree badly herniated discs and need surgery. I have a high
PAin tolerance and can probably live like this as I am
77 years old and do not want to go through another surgery. What will happen if I do not have surgery? Will I become deformed? I am able to walk totally upright at this time. I am very young looking and acting and do not want to change that. Please give me your advice! XXXXXXX Byoff

Brief Answer:
Your condition may worsen.

Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXXXXX and thanks for using HCM.

I have read your question and understand your concerns.

Pain related to herniated disc disease can be controlled by spinal epidural injections, if painkillers don't work.

Multiple discs herniation may lead to spinal cord stenosis, a serious condition that may lead not only to deformed posture and walking, but it may cause severe pain, urination problems and weak legs.

So, if your condition is serious, or based evidence that it may be serious, I think surgery is inevitable.

Hope you found the answer helpful.

Let me know if I can assist you further.

Greetings.
