Question: Ive had acid reflux for a while. Ive had it under control recently but i am afraid because i read that barrets esophogus comes when you have a lot of reflux. Are there any especific symtoms that i should look for?

Barrets esophagus is a change in the mucosa structure. It does not give any specific symptoms at all. It can be seen only under a microscope.

As you are very young and your acid reflux does not seem to be well controlled, you may be a good candidate to antireflux surgery called fundoplication. I suggest you to consult gastrologist and discuss it.
