Brief Answer:
Ulcerative colitis.

Detailed Answer:
Welcome to Healthcaremagic.
Hi, I am Dr Anshul Varshney , I have read your query in detail , I understand your concern.
She seems to be suffering from Ulcerative Colitis as evidenced by the findings in colonoscopy and biopsy.
Now, see this is a chronic condition and requires chronic treatment based on severity of the disease and the ongoing symptoms.
Treatment is mostly with anti-inflammatory medications like sulfasalazine, mesalamine.
Reducing inflammation will help with abdominal cramps and diarrhea, that is the most frequent complains in these patients.
If the severity is high and the patient is having blood in stools then we need to give corticosteroids enema and antibiotics like Rifaximin.
In cases with frequent relapse and if there is suspicion of malignancy (which is not there in her case), surgery is indicated that is proctocolectomy with ileostomy.
Currently, she should be started on Salfasalazine and streoids enema might be given for a short course to suppress the inflammation.
This is my personal opinion based on details available here. If you still have any other query, you may please ask me.
Stay Healthy.

Brief Answer:
Continue Pentasa.

Detailed Answer:
Hi. As explained in prior answer the most important treatment course is Mesalazine / Sulphasalazine only. However in case of acute bleeding episodes we use corticosteroid enema.
I suppose if she has no such complain, she should carry on with Mesalazine only.
I hope it helps you.
If you have any further query, please ask me.
