Brief Answer:
Can use progesterones.

Detailed Answer:
Hello Mr. XXXXXXX

Thanks for sharing your health concern with us.

Progesterones are used to postpone the menstrual cycles. If there is no hypersensitivity, Norethisterone can be used until a period is wished, but not for more than 20 days.

The usual dosages prescribed depend on the body weight, age and number of days of treatment needed. Usually, 5 mg. twice or thrice a day is prescribed.

Side effects like nausea, breast tenderness and rashes can occur in some.

Hope your query has been clarified. Please feel free to contact for further information. I will be happy to help.

regards,
Shanti.V.

Brief Answer:
Should be used with precaution.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thanks for writing back.

The medication will pass through breast milk and hence, it is advisable to use it after giving the feed. As there is a time interval of a couple of hours between feeds, the drug is metabolized by then.

Hope this helps.

regards,
Shanti.V.
