Brief Answer:
Continuing birth control pills will delay periods

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.

I have gone through your query and understand your concerns. Let me mention that if you are on birth control pills, you can simply continue to take them without any gap and your periods will automatically get delayed. If you are not on birth control pills, starting to take from now might help in delaying your periods but it is not for sure.

There are a number of over the counter birth control pills available in XXXXXXX You can go for any of them. Levonorgestrel and ethinyl estradiol tablets can be taken. They are available in a number of brands. The following link might help you to choose:

Brief Answer:
Yaz has lesser side effects.

Detailed Answer:
Levonorgestrel and ethinyl estradiol are the contents of both regularly taken birth control pills as well as emergency pills. The difference is that the dose is several times higher in case of the latter. Ovral-L is a popular and good brand of daily birth control pill. However, if you do want to take it on regular basis and higher price is not a factor for you, I would recommend Yaz or XXXXXXX (drospirenone and ethinyl estradiol)(composition of these two are same but different from Ovral L).

Hope that helps.
