Oral Acyclovir if you are healthy otherwise.

Welcome back to HCM: Please note that normally we treat the chickenpox symptomatically without any medications.

However, if you are at risk for complications, then antiviral can be prescribed, this is Acyclovir and its derivatives can be used, these will have to be prescribed by a doctor of course. I hope this helps.

I was at the hospital and was prescribed Vitamin C, Paracetamol and Calamine Lotion. What will each do to curb the disease?.

The paracetamol will help with pain.
Vitamin C will help with wound healing
Calamine lotion will help with the itching.
