Hi,

I read your query and I understand your concerns.

Following is my reply regarding benefits and precautions to be taken:

1) Congratulations on delivery of your boy.

2) She should not lift heavy weight for another 3 months.

3) She needs to have adequate balanced diet which contains good amount of proteins, vitamins and minerals.

4) She needs to drink milk twice daily to have adequate calcium.

5) She has to be on iron and calcium tablets for next 3 months to maintain iron levels in blood and calcium to increase milk and bone strength.

6) She can walk in house or at park daily to maintain good health.

7) Breast feeding baby every 2 hours is very important.

8) Let her have fresh green vegetables and lots of water which will help her to prevent constipation.
