Brief Answer:
Healthy home food with vitamin supplementation is sufficient

Detailed Answer:
Hello

Thanks for the query. It is not unusual for a mother to get worried about his/her nutrition. For proper growth of the child adequate and balanced nutrition is must. Not only the kind of food but there are also other factors which should be kept in mind when there is a discussion about the nutrition and growth of baby.

According to growth chart of XXXXXXX academy of pediatrics the weight and height of 2.6 year old baby should be somewhere around 12-15 kgs and 85-90 cm respectively.

Children of this age group are usually fussy about feeding. You can help your baby to enjoy the food by encouraging not by forcing.

The caloric requirement of your baby will be around 1200-1300 kcal/day.For a vegetarian it is important to give all the dairy products like milk, paneer, cheese, yoghurt along with high calory fruits like banana and cheeku.
Give him all the food consumed by other family members(like roti, dal, chawal) but add extra ghee, butter or cream to increase the caloric value of food.
You can give dry fruits in the form of paste or in the milk.
It is better to give complementary food like complan/junior horlicks/pediasure with the milk than to give vitamin syrups to the babies.
Give him 5-6 small frequent feed rather than three main meals.
Don't feed him with bottle.

I hope this answers your query.
Regards
