Brief Answer: FOODS LISTED BELOW Detailed Answer: In general, adults should get a gram of protein per day per kilogram of body weight, so your requirement can be accordingly calculated. Non vegetarians have it easy because animal protein is the best source of protein, it contains all amino acids ( building blocks of protein ) that the body needs, while vegetarian sources are generally deficient in some or the other amino acid. Am providing you with some food sources that are high in protein content, please ensure you include them in your diet . 1. Whey protein has one of the highest protein content. It is also very well absorbed 2. Soya protein isolate - Apart from being high in protein, contains high iron content. 3. Cod fish - It has the added advantage of being low in fat, however salt levels are high in codfish. 5. Tofu , paneer, cheese - In addition to being good sources of protein, they contain high calcium levels also. 6. Beef and lamb ( mutton ), chicken and pork are excellent protein sources. 7. Egg 8. Milk. 9. Beans - black beans, rajmah, dals, pulses. lentils, chana, chole. 10. Peanuts, almonds, cashews, sunflower seeds, flax seeds . If you incorporate about 4 - 5 servings of these various foods in your diet, you should be getting enough protein for your body. All the best Please feel free to discuss further.
