Brief Answer:
About TSH dose:

Detailed Answer:
Hello and thank you for asking!
There different normal ranges of TSH depending on the pathology ( in thyroid cancer should be under 1 for at least 5 years), depending on the fact that you are planing a pregnancy or not ( if you are a female).
If you are diagnosed with Hashimoto thyroiditis, I would recommend to lower the dose from 125 mcg/ daily to 100 mcg for 5 days a week and 125 mcg 2 days a week.
Check TSH 6 weeks each time you change the dose of levothyroxine.
Wish you good health.
Kind regards,
Dr.Mirjeta

Dear Doctor
Thanks for the reply but i was looking for a specific answer from your side.
I am a 45 year old female and i have thyroid for the last seventeen years and my thyroid was up and down occasionally. In April 2017 my TSH was 6.8 when i got it checked in august it was below the normal limit, hence i want to check my dose of thyronorm with you. I was taking 125mcg earlier kindly suggest the dose

Brief Answer:
About levothyroxine dose;

Detailed Answer:
Hi again,
Thank you for the further details.
The dose you have been taking from april (125 mcg) has lowered TSH under the normal ranges (0.15) so decrease the dose as suggested above (5 days per week 100 mcg and 2 days per week 125 mcg) and check TSH level after 6 weeks.
If it is within the normal ranges continue with the dose for other 6 months.
Hope i have been clear.
Best wishes,
Dr.Mirjeta
