Suggest Diet To Lose Weight

Question: Hi, I am 30years old and trying to concieve. Doctor has asked me to reduce weight. I am working woman with moderate activities throughout day.

Height: 5"3' , Weight- 70kg

Exercise: 4KM walk with 10km/hour speed 5 days a week.

Diet- 2 glass of leamon water + 1 fruit in the morning, 2 paratha/1 plate poha in breakfast , 2 fulkas+sabji+1 glass buttermilk in lunch, 5 o clock tea+ 1 veg sandwhich(without cheese,mionise) in the evening, 1 fulka+1 bowl sabji in dinner

What additionally i should do reduce weight quickly?

I have gone through your query and can very well understand your concerns..

As per your query , it is a well known fact that being over weight or women of child bearing age group if suffers from obesity has difficulty in conceiving due to hormonal imbalances which can also lead to a condition known as Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome.

As you are 5 feet 3 inches tall in height the ideal weight range for you should be in a range of 47 to 57 kg..

As you are following a certain diet plan I can further advise you few modifications for a better response in weight loss..

1. As you take 2 glasses of lemon water in the morning, take it with XXXXXXX warm water and add half a spoon of honey in it as this combination gives better results.
Better take it in the morning before you go for walk..

2.Do brisk walking and keep increasing and you should increase it upto atleast 5 to 6 km but do not stress excessively..
If possible for you do a few Yogasanas like Surya-namaskaar and kapaal XXXXXXX but only after learning from an expert as they are an excellent ways of weight loss and getting a tight tone body..

3. Take a fruit in the morning and it will be good if you take an apple or pear, orange etc but avoid grapes, XXXXXXX banana and chickoo.

4.In breakfast 2 paranthas should be avoided, take chapatis rather.

5.In lunch you are taking a good diet, add pulses also as they provide protein constituent and give fuller feeling..
Boiled dals are a good option, for taste you can add lemon and black pepper.

6.Evening meal should include a whole wheat bread sandwich and not white bread.
You can also stuff boiled sprouts in it to make more nutritious.
Take black tea or tea with very little sugar.

Take green tea atleast 2 times a day, you can add honey and lemon in it too for taste.

7.In the dinner you can take 1 to 2 chapatis with preferably dal and subji, thats fine but finish your dinner by 8 if you go to sleep by ten or eleven o clock at night..

Take a short walk before sleeping..

Before half an hour of going to bed take a glass of XXXXXXX warm water and half a tea spoon of fenugreek seeds[methi] powder, it will improve digestion and BMR as well as help in reducing weight..

Adding cinnamon powder in your foods will also help as cinnamon is also helpful in weight loss..

As much possible use stairs to climb up the floors and avoid lift..

Remain active ,avoid sleeping in the day..

If you are in a sedantary working style try and get up from your chair at least once in an hour and walk a little like just for 2 to 5 minutes..

Eat a little every two hours as it will help in keeping the body's metabolism at a kick and you will loose faster..

Drink plenty of water throughout the day and if you can take lukewarm water it is further a bonus..

All this will help you a lot and you will definitely feel the difference..

There are certain diet plans available and can help in faster weight loss, but these day to day tricks work wonders..
Do not starve yourself, keep eating nutritious and healthy for better body conditioning as along with weight loss proper nutrition is also needed for conceiving faster..

Thank you for answering my query .. your answer covered all aspects of diet... At night you mentioned to have glass of lukewarm water+Methi XXXXXXX . I read somewhere that methi XXXXXXX contains high heat and should be avoided if planning to conceive or pregnant? Is it true?

As per your query Fenugreek seeds are contraindicated in pregnancy as it can cause uterine contractions and cause Preterm Labour and can even cause abortion..
Although association of fenugreek seeds with ovulation or causing difficulty in conceiving is not a confirmed data available in researches..

I have advised you fenugreek for weight loss but in case if you are immediately planning to conceive and you are on any fertility treatment you can avoid intake of fenugreek and can simply take XXXXXXX warm water as it is also very effective..
