Brief Answer:
Progesterone only pill

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for posting the query,

For most mothers, progestin-only forms of contraception do not cause problems with milk supply if started after the 6th-8th week postpartum and if given at normal doses. However, there are many reports that some women do experience supply problems with these pills, so if you choose this method you still need to proceed with some caution.

I suggest you to use a Barrier method like condomn which is the safest method during breast feeding.

Take care.

Thank you doctor for the response. Can you suggest a good pill which we can try out which will take care of milk for best feeding and that won't make my wife obese. This because we are not the best with condoms. 2 unplanned pregnancy is something has reduced our confidence in condom. We don't seem good at it. Early after marriage she used progesterone but was putting up weight. We did consult with couple of doctors. But the opinions were not something which could go ahead with. Can you suggest a pill which will take care of the situation. Condom so so be used by we need more protection.

Brief Answer:
The combined pill will reduce breast milk production

Detailed Answer:
The progesterone only pill is the only suggestion i can assure in your case keeping breast milk production in mind. The combined pill will not be safe during breast feeding. You can ask your wife to get IUCD ie. Copper T which will be safest.

Take care.
