Brief Answer: ..... Detailed Answer: Hi there... In Ayurveda, there is a medicine called ' Ashwagandha ' which might help slow down the progress of dementia. Do consult an ayurvedic doctor for the same and also to find out any possible interactions between the the anti hypertensive medications you are on and Ashwagandha. In addition, do a lot of reading. Keep your mind active by doing puzzles, crosswords etc. Regular exercise 30 minutes a day 5 days a week.....helpful to reduce blood pressure as well. Reduce salt intake in the diet. Have a healthy nutritious diet and include blueberries, oranges, green leafy vegetables, omega 3 fatty acids seen in mackerel , salmon etc,. Hope this information was helpful to you.
