Brief Answer:
Bupropion is a good option

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for choosing health care magic for posting your query.
I have gone through your question in detail and I can understand what you are going through.
I understand your concerns about weight gain and also the need to be continued on antidepressants. I agree with you that weight gain is one of the important side-effects of antidepressants except for Bupropion. Bupropion is either weight neutral (will not increase weight) or it may even reduce some weight along with acting as an antidepressant. It acts by increasing the noradrenaline and Dopamine levels. Its a good option for you. it is started in the dose range of 150mg and then gradually increased to 300mg.
Do meet your psychiatrist, discuss this option and get the medicine prescribed.
Hope I am able to answer your concerns.
If you have any further query, I would be glad to help you.
If not, you may close the discussion and if possible you may rate the answer for me, so that I get a good feedback.
