Brief Answer:
Only take tylenol not the aleve

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for contacting HCM with your health care concerns

You have been having knee pain and are currently taking meloxicam for the pain. Whoever told you to take aleve was mistaken. Aleve is another anti inflammatory and will not add to your pain control. In fact may increase your risk for kidney damage or gastric bleeding. you can use the tylenol to help though.

I would also recommend using capsaicin to help with your knee pain. This is a cream made from the jalapeno pepper that helps deaden pain. I would recommend using gloves and applying it 3 times daily. This is over the counter so you do not need a prescription.

I hope I answered your question. Please contact us again with your health care concerns and questions
