Question: recent positive herpes 1 n2-small open sores on penis.presribed meds for 5 days-took as prescribed sores,disappearded-area looks normal and smooth. 2months-what r my chances of infecting partner without condom?to insure test result im gonna retest.-im orther wise healthy

Thanks for your query ,based on the facts that you have posted it appears that you have been diagnosed to have Genital Herpes 2 and treated successfully.

Herpes infection is never cured permanently .It remains dormant through out life and outbreaks are known to occur at some time even after treatment and gets transmitted to partner through sexual contacts even though one does not have symptoms of active disease .

It is advisable to use condom during sexual activities to prevent it being transmitted to your partner . .
