Hi XXXXXXX
Thanks for sharing your concerns,

Common cold is a kind of viral infection; usually this is takes 3 to 4 days to improve.

You can take few steps to help yourself:
1) Drinking plenty of fluids and getting lots of rest when needed is still the best bit of advice to ease the discomforts of the common cold.

2) Water is the best fluid and helps lubricate the mucous membranes. You can also take hot soups, hot ginger Tea.

2) Throat pain and fever can be relieved by taking simple Paracetamol.

3) You can also do warm saline gargles to comfort yourself.

4) Foods XXXXXXX in vitamins A and C are widely recommended. They include oranges, kiwi, and tomatoes.

5) Nasal congestion and running nose commonly levocetirizine or fenofexadine are used, and nasal spray may help.

Above measures should help you improve.
I would be glad to answer your follow up queries, if you have.

With Regards.
