Sexually Active And Taking Birth Control. Noticed Skin Growth On Vagina. How To Remove This?

default
Posted on Mon, 25 Feb 2013
Question: There is a hard, almost crust like lining forming around my vagina, basically on the labia, stretching down to my perineum. It has been getting worse over the last week. Doesn't hurt or itch, just unpleasant to the touch and gross feeling. What could be the cause of this and how can I make it go away? (I am sexually active and the only medication I take regularly is birth control -- generic Yasmin)

Hi,
Thanks for the query.

According to your description there is possibility of genital infections like:
Genital warts or
Herpetic infections or
Yeast infections.
Usually these infections will present with crust like lesions.
So you better consult gynecologist once and get examined to find out the exact nature of the lesion and take treatment accordingly.
