Hi XXXXXXX

Thank you for the query.

I would like to know few more things which would help me in suggesting you better:

1.) Do you have knee or ankle swelling?
2.) Do you stand or sit for prolonged periods?
3.) Do you have hip pain?
4.) Do you have difficulty walking?
5.) Do you get pain while walking?
6.) Do you have a history of injury?

The causes for ankle pain are many like,

1.) Referred pain from knee or lower back.
2.) Ankle injury.
3.) Calcaneal spur and various other causes.

All these causes have to be ruled out. Kindly get yourself examined by an Orthopedician so that he can examine you in detail and run few tests like,

1.) X XXXXXXX
2.) MRI ( Magnetic Resonant Imaging) scan.

Once the cause is confirmed, you will be treated accordingly with,

1.) Analgesics.
2.) Physical Therapy.
3.) Surgery (If necessary)

Kindly do not delay, follow these lifestyle modifications:

1.) Get adequate rest.
2.) Avoid lifting heavy weights.
3.) Exercise regularly and maintain a healthy weight.
4.) Avoid putting pressure over left leg, use a walker or support.
5.) Stick to your treatment plan and go for regular follow up.
6.) Apply cold packs to painful areas.

Hope I have answered your query; I will be available to answer your follow up queries.

Wish you Good Health.

Regards,
Dr. Mohammed Tauseef.

Your Follow up history is absolutely fine as there are no known risk factors. As I said earlier, get yourself examined by an Orthopedician so that he can examine you in detail to pin point the cause.

Follow the Lifestyle Modifications which I have suggested.

Hope, this helps. Please accept my answer in case you do not have follow up queries.

Wish you good health.

Regards,
Dr. Mohammed Tauseef.
