Red Palms, Itching Even When Sleeping. Given Benedryl. What Do You Think?

default

Question: My daughter has had red palms that itch even in her sleep. No other symptoms besides being cranky at times but she is spoiled. I've given her benedryl and first put a cooling anti itch cream then bought a cream for eczema. Nothing has helped. What do u think?

Hi Dear,

The condition you are describing can be tinea manum, scabies, contact dermatitis etc.

Also I would like to know-

Since when she has this problem?

Is it painful?

Does it discharge pus?

Is it scaly?

Can you upload good quality photos of the affected hands.

Photos will help a lot in predicting the diagnosis and treatment.

You can upload them by using UPLOAD YOUR REPORTS section on right side of the box.

Till then you can take syrup cetirizine for the itching.

Apply soothing lotion like calamine lotion over the palms.
