Hello,

Thanks for the query.

On the basis of appearance of the lesion, various possibilities can be considered.
As you have mention that you have abundant sun exposure, the lesion could be sun related.
Sun exposure is associated with a variety of lesions. They vary from totally harmless sun burn to pre-malignant and malignant conditions of the skin.

It seems that the lesion is not causing any pain or irritation.

It may be worthwhile to visit your dermatologist for detailed examination of the lesion. I think the doctor may order a biopsy of the region to understand the true nature of the lesion and whether or not this is a benign one.

Hope I have answered your query. If you have more queries, I will be glad to answer.

Hello and welcome again,

Sun related lesions may or may not be raised.
A number of lesions are related to sun exposure ranging from harmless lesions to cancerous ones.
Appearance of lesion may be deceptive.

A combination of clinical examination and microscopy can only exactly characterize the lesion.
All lesions on sun exposed parts of the body are not necessarily due to sunlight. but it is an important cause of various lesions on skin.

If you have more queries, I will be glad to answer.

Hello,
Welcome again to Health Care Magic.

A pink colored blotch which is not raised and is dark arount its margins could be:
1. An allergic reaction to various agents
2. An insect bite
3. Infection eg fungal infection
4. Erythematous skin lesion
5. Vasculitis etc.

These are just a few possibilities out of many poosibilities.
The exact characterization can be done after examination and investigations.

I hope you are satisfied with the reply.
If you have more queries, I will be glad to answer.
