Hi,

Marijuana is well known to lower the immune system of the body.
HPV positive is quite common. But in many it will be sub-clinical and will never manifest, whereas the Marijuana smoking may likely to precipitate its manifestations.
Marijuana is known to affect the natural immune mechanism of the body including macrophages and T8 killer cells which helps in prevention of tumor formation. So genital warts and cervical or penile cancer are likely to occur in presence of Marijuana smoking.
Giving up the habit and taking plenty of anti-oxidants (fruits and vegetables) will be likely to protect you from this unwanted complications.

Wow i didn't know for sure about it. So if marijuana is something that hurts the immune system why is it given to cancer patients and people with HIV/AIDS wouldn't that make them worse? That's why I wasn't sure if it would hurt me or not.

Hi,
Welcome back.
In HIV patients also Marijuana use is discouraged.
In cancer also, it is a kind of ancient medicine used in the treatment of cancer. Nowadays they are recommended to alleviate nausea and vomiting caused by anticancer drugs. Here also there are better options. Marijuana is no longer used in these conditions nowadays.
So it is better to avoid the same.
