Pregnant. Test done for serum uric acid levels. Is the finding normal?

i am pregnant. i am in 35th week of pregnancy now... after a pathological test i found that my uric acid level is 5.0mg/dl. is it something to get worried of?

Your serum uric acid levels are normal.

WWW.WWWW.WW Uric acid is a marker for pre eclampsia.
When hypertension during pregnancy is not controlled, then a more severe condition called pre eclampsia results, where liver enzymes are elevated, serrum uric acid and creatinine rises and patient is at risk for convulsions.
If your blood pressure is controlled on medication, you have no cause for worry as long as you do not have worrisome symptoms like headache, epigastric pain, blurring of vision etc.
