Noticed Clot While On Toilet Just After Periods. Is This Normal? Should I Be Worried?

Question: i currently have my period and am on day 2 and while on the toliet i passed a clot, it was about the size of half an egg. is this normal? should i be worried? why does this happen? thanks

Thanks for the question.

This looks pretty normal, if its 2nd day of our periods.

I don’t think you should be worried, if there are no other symptoms.

This happens if some blood remains stagnated to pass off later in form of bigger clot.

Other symptoms would be crampy pain in abdomen,repeat passing of clot,fever or significant blood loss.
