Noticed Blood From Ear On The Pillow. Cause?

Question: I had blood on my pillow from my ear last night.

Thanks for the query.
There can be many causes of bleeding. 
Bleeding can occur from injuries to the external canal such as a scratch or a Q-tip injury or insect bite. Infections can also  cause bleeding.
Diabetics are much prone for infections in external ear or middle ear.
An ear which is chronically infected sometimes develop persistently inflamed tissue which can sometimes bleed.
There could be a perforation of ear drum also.
Bleeding is a warning sign that something is wrong and should be investigated immediately.
You must consult an ENT specialist for thorough check up.
