Question: My daughter was born on the 7th of April 2016, She completed 7 months and is in her 8th month. I started semi-solids for her from the 5th month onwards. Please let me know what her diet plan should be now. I mostly gave her pureed apple, carrots(with jiggery), rice and dal khichdi(she never liked this), banana, sweet potato(couple of times) and rice cerelac. Please advise what changes should i now bring in.

Brief Answer:
Introduce one new food item per week and stick to it at least for the week.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.

I have gone through your query and understand your concerns. You are doing the right thing. Consider your ABCs - applesauce, bananas, and cereal (rice, biscuits dipped in milk, or roti softened with milk/water). Boiled rice and dal with vegetables and give in mashed form. Gradually increase the amount and frequency. Introduce one new food item per week and stick to it at least for the week.

I would insist you to go through the following chart about what foods to give at what age:

Noting down so much information would have made the answer unnecessarily long. Pardon me for avoiding that.

Hopefully that clears your queries.
