Question: Hi
My gynac has told me to insert 2 progesterone soft gelatin capsules -200 mg into vagina , every night. But as I get up in morning..the contents of capsule are all out. Does that mean that the medicine is getting wasted or not working..? Should I take it orally then ? I am not comfortable pushing it inside. Plz guide.

Brief Answer:
You can try injectable form.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for your query.

There will be some amount of liquid after it dissolves that comes out when you get up but not all of it should come out. You can try inserting with a help of an applicator.

Taking progesterone orally is not adviced has it has less absorption. You can take IM (intramuscular) injections of progesterone that is effective as well.

I hope this answered your query. You can discuss the injectable form of progesterone with your treating doctor.
