Brief Answer:
About Diabetes treatment;

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thank you for asking!

As type 2 Diabetes in most of the cases is caused by insulin resistance due to abdominal fat, weight loss is considered a probable cure for Diabetes.

During the last decade 3 new classes of medications are discovered with a great success in lowering HbA1c level.

Another device very helpful in treating patients with type 2 Diabetes that are in insulin therapy is artificial pancreas, approved last month by the FDA. It is mainly for type 1 but in some cases can be used by type 2.

The transplantation of pancreas islets has resulted very effective in type 1 Diabetes.
Different from type 1, the mechanism of Diabetes in type 2 is very complex and it is very very difficult to find a cure for it.

Until now all the treatments consists in treating and not curing type 2 Diabetes.
The best thing a patient with type 2 can do is to eat healthy, exercise regularly and maintain an ideal body weight.

Wish you good health. Feel free to ask further
Kind Regards,
