Is The DV 60K Advisable During Pregnancy?

Question: I m 24 week pregnant and my doctor prescribed DV 60K once in a week. so I want to know that is this medicine safe in pregnancy or not ? I have also hypothyroid and taking 150 mcg eltroxin.

DV 60K is a Vit D3 and is very good to take it throughout pregnancy ,because :

"Women who take high doses of vitamin D during pregnancy have a greatly reduced risk of complications, including gestational diabetes, preterm birth, and infection.
Study researchers are recommending that pregnant women take 4,000 international units (IU) of vitamin D every day -- at least 10 times the amount recommended by various health groups.

Hence take it as is prescribed from your doctor .
Vit D have no interaction with Etroxin .

I m also taking calcimax, iron tablets and numerino forte. so I m a bit concerned of taking DV 60K. is all this medicine taking is safe ?

I understand your concern but don't worry because all tablets you are consuming are safe for your pregnancy.

You should take all tablets prescribed from your doctor because:

1.you are pregnant (need for Vit D is more)
2.you are a hypothyroid patient (patients with hypothyroidism may suffer from low vit D with low Ca)
