Brief Answer:
your decision is correct

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX

Thanks for writing to HCM.

Your decision is correct. Fistulas is left unoperated have a high rate of going into complications.

Yours being in initial stage, risk of complications is very low, post surgery.

And the surgeon your are getting operated by is a very experienced one, so no be confident.

Hope, i have been helpful.

Get well soon.

Brief Answer:
yes your decision is ok

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX

The professor in a medical college is the highest rank possible, and they are the most XXXXXXX and highly experienced among the lot. So, don't worry about him. You can go ahead with the procedure at that hospital.

And dressing in a fistula surgery is nothing but sitting in a tub of lukewarm water with 10 ml of antiseptic solution added to it for 15 mins, 3-4 times a day (Sitz bath). So that also should not be an issue.

So be relaxed, and go for it. Everything should be fine.

Dr. Ashish Verma
