42 yr old , 4 births ...3 vaginal 1 csection...last pregnancy 2007 after which tubes were tied. Recently missed 2 months of cycles an upon my visit to the dr..I was very anxious because my mother died of cervical cancer and I had cancer in situ in 2006. Vaginal ultrasound detected the fusion. Could this cause Chronic back pain? How does this happen? Do you have to take action if no other symptoms are present?

Brief Answer:
MRI plus endocervical biopsy

Detailed Answer:
Hello Mam.

I understand your concern.

The fusion of uterus and bladder in your case should be carefully evaluated in view of past significant history cancer cervix in situ.

The fusion could be a Fistulous tract between the bladder and vagina.

The lack of periods in your case could be related to the onset of premenopausal period.

The back pack is most probably related to this fusion.

High search for progression of cancer is needed at the earliest to assess the treatment aspect.

For this MRI abdomen can be a useful guide coupled with colposcopy and endocervical biopsy

Thank you.

Brief Answer:
Cancer cervix Agrresive course prevention must.

Detailed Answer:
Hi Mam.

High search in your case is warranted due to underlying Cancer Cervix.

An in situ cancer has a high chance of progressing to XXXXXXX malignancy in a very short time eroding various organs located in and around the cervix like rectum and bladder.

This cancer grow very rapidly infiltrating the near by nerves causing backache and pressure symptoms.

Hence I asked for an MRI scan of your abdomen coupled with endocervical biopsy to accurately stage and grade of the cancer cervix.

This search is especially needed in your case as your mother expired of cancer cervix, which most likely explains an aggressive disease in her.

Post your further queries if any.
Thank you.
