Brief Answer:
The use of Lyrica isn't associated with a slow heart rate.

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX!

The use of Lyrica isn't associated with a slow heart rate.

However i want to know:
- why you are taking Lyrica?
- What other medications you are already taking?
This information is essential to find out the right cause of bradycardia (slow heart rate).

Wish you health!

I have peripheral and ulna nerve damage from a traumatic amputation of the pinky finger and subsequent Ray surgery. Painful neuromas reform after 3 surgeries. I also take metroprolol ER. I had to discontinue neurontin due to side effects and wonder now if the same will be true with lyrical. I was recently hospitalized with bradycardia and drug induced liver injury due to an allergic reaction to tizanadine. Cardiologist said it was OK to take lyrica but I am skeptical.

Detailed Answer:
Hi back,

You should continue Lyrica because the most common side effect of Lyrica is tachycardia and not low heart rate (bradycardia). Moreover if bradycardia persist I recommend to lower the dose of Metoprolol Er in order to increase the HR.

Wish you health!
