Question: Hallo Doctor,
I am a 55 year old diabetic, hypertensive man and was admitted to hospital with history of sudden onset severe headache starting from the back of the scalp for 1 day one moth ago.Clinically there was no focal neurodeficit.Considering the thunderclap headache, its differentials were thought of and imaging was done accordingly.CT scan brain revealed subarachnoid haemorrhage.CT angiogram did not show any aneurysm or AVM and so I was kept under conservative medical management.I was finally diagnosed with Hypothyroidism,Diabetes Mellitus Type 2 and Perimesencephalic Subarchnoid Haemorrhage.DOCTORS TOLD THAT IT WAS A MILD STROKE.I took Nimodip 60 mg 1 tab 4 hourly for 3 weeks,Clonazepam 0.25 mg 1 tab once daily at bed time,Ganaton 50 mg 1 tab thrice daily for 2 weeks. Now I am taking Glycomet-SR 500 mg twice daily,Eltroxin 25 mcg 1 tab once daily,Telpres 40 once daily. My height is 5 ft and Weight is 80 kg.MY blood pressure is 135/81.My blood sugar in fasting is 120mg/dl and HbAlc is 8.1% .Now can I journy up and down 75 km through bus daily to my office????Can I drive my motorbyke????Should I do something else so that I don't suffer this anymore???

Brief Answer:
SAH

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for your question.

After going through your question, I can understand your concern.

Considering there was no neurological deficit at the time of your hospitalization and uneventful recovery there after and also you don't have any issues 1 month after the event, you can restart your routine daily activity, office work as before.

Travelling in bus may not be an issue.
But regarding driving motorbike, you should start it gradually with driving for short distance initially.

It would be better to discuss your issues with your treating neurologist.

Hope I have answered your question.
I will be happy to answer your follow up question, if any.
