I recommend as follows:

Detailed Answer:
Hello!

Welcome back on HCM!

Regarding your concern, I would explain that it is important performing a comprehensive differential diagnosis of different causes that may lead to this clinical scenario:

- Chronic anemia. A complete blood count would help exclude this possibility
- A cardiac disorder. I recommend performing a cardiac ultrasound to examine your cardiac function and structure
An ambulatory 24-48 hours ECG monitoring would be more helpful in examining your heart rhythm trends during a prolonged period.
- Some other metabolic disorders like electrolyte imbalance, a thyroid dysfunction or adrenal gland dysfunction. For this reason it is important performing blood electrolytes, thyroid hormone levels, cortisol plasma levels.
- Low blood pressure. I recommend you to closely monitor your blood pressure frequent times during the day and refer those values to your doctor.

If all the above tests result normal, there is nothing to worry about.

You should discuss with your doctor on the above tests.

Hope you will find this answer helpful!

Kind regards,

Dr. Iliri

I have had extensive cardiac testing including echo which showed stuctually notmal heart.
I have had full blood count last week, all normal and today i had a thyroid blood test.
I should have mentioned i have normally low blood pressure and i had not drank very much fluids ysterday.
Would that have contributed funny rhythm?

Detailed Answer:
Hello again,

Since your cardiac ultrasound, cardiac stress test, and all the blood tests (including thyroid hormone levels) have resulted normal, then there is nothing to worry about.

Your cardiac function and structure are confirmed to be normal.

In such case, it is recommended performing frequent daily physical activity without restriction.

But don’t forget to be well hydrated and follow a gradually loading approach in order to attain an appropriate cardiovascular conditioning during exertion.

Wishing you good health!

Regards,

Dr. Iliri
