Brief Answer:
psoriasis is not infectious to others

Detailed Answer:
Hello. Thank you for writing to us

I am dr.kakkar(dermatologist). I have gone through your query and i have noted your concern

Psoriasis is not infectious and neither does it cause or lead to skin cancer. However, as compared to normal there is a slightly higher risk of psoriasis in children of parent(s) affected with psoriasis. Having said that, the fact that most of the affected patients do not have a family history of psoriasis is also true i.e most of the times psoriasis is not familial. So according to me infectiousness or risk of skin cancer are not reasons against marriage. Moreovr there are numerous effective treatment options available for psoriasis.
Nevertheless, the underlying fact is that psoriasis is a chronic skin disease and can recur after seemingly complete cure.
