And shall I continue kegel exercise? And sometimes I feel erectile dysfunction as I can find out myself. Please tell me the resolution for this. Thank you.

Brief Answer: Please find detailed answer below Detailed Answer: Hi XXXX, Thanks for writing in to us. You have not mentioned if premature ejaculation happens during masturbation. If you are having normal ejaculation during masturbation then you might be having Sexual Performance Anxiety. Sex is more than just a physical response. Arousal is tied into your emotions, too. When your mind is too stressed out to focus on sex, your body can't get excited either. If you've got sexual performance anxiety, avoid focusing only on the sexual act as such. You may continue doing kegel exercises and also do the following: 1. Be open with your partner. Talking with your partner about your anxiety can help ease some of your worries. Trying to reach a solution together might actually bring you closer as a couple and improve your sexual relationship. 2. Get intimate in other ways. There are many ways to be intimate without actually having sex. Give your partner a sensual massage or take a warm bath together. Take turns pleasing each other with masturbation so you don't always have to feel pressured to perform sexually. 3. Exercise. Not only will working out make you feel better about your body, but it will also improve your stamina in bed. 4. Distract yourself. Try putting on some romantic music or a sexy movie while you make love. Think about something that turns you on. Taking your mind off of your sexual performance can remove the worries that are stopping you from getting excited. Concerning erectile dysfunction, in men, one of the effects of the stress hormones is to constrict blood vessels. Less blood flowing into the penis makes it more difficult to have an erection. Even men who normally don't have any trouble getting excited can become unable to get an erection when they're overcome by sexual performance anxiety. I hope this helps. Brief Answer: Please find detailed answer below Detailed Answer: Hi XXXX, Thanks for writing in with an update. One of the reasons for premature ejaculation is anxiety and stress. By reducing stress related anxiety one can reduce incidence of premature ejaculation. Since orgasms are result of increased muscle tension kegel exercises will benefit you if done regularly. Another way to treat premature ejaculation is by increasing foreplay between you and your partner. You can give each other a full body massage and that will help delay ejaculation and help you have longer sexual sessions. In many young men premature ejaculation may occur due to hypersensitive tip or glans penis. This can be treated by applying lignocaine gel in small amount to tip of penis just before penetration to decrease sensitivity and avoid premature ejaculation. Men are also asked to follow start stop technique during sex. This helps to slowly build up sexual tension and take time before ejaculation occurs. Mutual masturbation may also help you in delaying ejaculation. Also you can try the second ejaculation technique. If another erection can be achieved shortly after an episode of premature ejaculation, ejaculatory control may be much better the second time. I hope this helps. Do write back in case of doubts. Brief Answer: Apply lignocaine 2% gel on glans Detailed Answer: Hi XXXX, Thanks for writing in with an update. Please get some lignocaine 2% gel from a pharmacy and apply a little bit on the glans just before your partner touches or penetration. This will desensitize the glans and delay ejaculation. I hope this helps. Do write back in case of doubts. Dr.A.Rao Kavoor
