Is Pregnancy Possible While On Birth Control Pills?
Question: I am regularly taking a birth control pill. I take this pill every day within 3 hours of the same time every day. I am familiar with my cervix and cervical fluid. Today is day 23 of my cycle, my cervix is medium-height, partially open, and medium-soft accompanied by dry/tacky cervical fluid. I had intercourse on one of my fertile days, but was (and still am) taking birth control pills, but didn't use back up protection. On day 20 of my cycle I noticed a pain on my left side of my left breast. What are the chances of pregnancy causing this dull ache in my breast?
Brief Answer:
No chance of pregnancy
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
I understand your concerns.
I dont see any increased chance of pregnancy. Your birth control pills will not help you to protect against pregnancy.
I dont see any reason to panic.
The pain in breast is due to minor hormonal changes and not pregnancy.
Let me know if you need anymore help.
Regards

I am confused in the part of your answer where you say that my birth control pills will NOT protect me from pregnancy. The pills I am taking have been my method of contraception for almost a year and I am confused to now hear that they won't work? Could you explain this to me? As oral contraceptives are VERY commonly used to prevent pregnancy.
Brief Answer:
Pills offer protection
