Question: My girlfriend is on nexplanon and she got a uti so her doctor put her on some antibiotics to clear up the uti for one week. Her doctor told her to use another form of contaceptive for a week after she finished the antibiotics. She finished her antibiotics, and felt like her uti was still there so her doctor put her on an antibiotic again for 2 days while they ran her urin in a lab. The doctor called and said she was cleared up and to stop taking the antibiotics. We continued to use condoms throughout the whole time she was on antibiotics and still continued to use them for another week and 4 days after she stopped the antibiotics. We had sex last night for the first time since she started her uti without a condom just relying on her nexplanon implant. I was wondering if has been long enough for the nexplanon to be fully effective in her system. If you could get back with me asap so i know to buy the plan B pill or not i would greatly appreciate it.

So we waited long enough after she stopped taking antibiotics to have sex just relying on the nexplanon?
