Is Pregnancy Possible When Diagnosed With Hip Dysplasia?
Question: I am almost 40 and wanted to get pregnant this year but just found out i have hip dysplasia and need PAO surgery. What do i do first baby then surgery or surgery first? I just dont want to lose my chance to conceive as im getting older. Thank you.

You can get pregnant even if you have hip dysplasia. You will find difficulty in walking about with the baby but it can be done.
After the surgery, it would take a few months to a year to get back to near normal functioning, and late pregnancy can pose risk to certain congenital and birth disorders.
It is best to get pregnant and deliver via a c section. Plan the surgery after that. Hip dysplasia isn't a life or Birth threatening condition.
