I'm currently pregnant. My lmp was 10/17/15 which only lasted 2 days. Prior to that my last period was on 9/21/15 (about a 25 day cycle). I found out I was pregnant with a home test on 11/13/15. Due to spotting and pain in my abdomen I went to the doctor on 11/16/15. They did blood work and HCG was 1106; 2 days later 2091 (about 89% increase). I'm providing my whole story because I had intercourse with my another person that was not my significant other (which I completely regret) on 10/31. He used the withdrawal method and I took the emergency pill about 12 hours later. A little bit of the pill dissolved in my mouth before I swallowed it with a glass of water. I had unprotected intercourse with my significant other on 10/25/15 and 11/7/15 and he did ejaculate inside. My first ultrasound was on 11/24/15 and they were only able to see the gestational sac. My hcg level that day was 26514. They were thinking my pregnancy would be ectopic but the dr did a quick ultrasound the next day and was able to see a something that looked like a dot. The hcg levels have been increasing and another ultrasound was done on 12/1 (hcg level 85000). They were able to see the fetal pole and a heartbeat at 108 bpm. They measured the crl at 4.9 mm and measured GA at 6weeks 1 day+-.5 week (minus 2 weeks for conception would bring me to 11/2/15 conception). I think I got pregnant based off intercourse on 10/25 with possible ovulation of 10/28. So it could be that by the time I took the pill on 10/31 I had implanted already or even implanted around 11/2/15 which could lead to smaller Crl? That is what I'm hoping for. What are your thoughts? Would my sugnificant other be the father providing these facts? Thank you for your help.

Brief Answer:
Chances of pregnancy after emergency pill are there.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for trusting us with your health concern.
The chances of pregnancy after using withdrawal method and taking emergency pill within 12 hours are less than 3%. But in your case the most likely time of conception is around 31st Oct.
The pregnancy is not due to the intercourse you had on 25th Oct as they would have seen a sac and fetus on 24th Nov. HCG levels are also lower according to the date.
Chances of conception due to intercourse on 11/7 are there but the ultrasound scan points towards conception around 2nd Nov.
It is best to get another ultrasound scan done now and calculate the approximate date of conception.
Please feel free to discuss further. I will be glad to answer the follow up queries that you have.
Wishing you good health.

Thank you. Even though they didnt see the the fetus on 11/24, my hcg levels were high enough at 26514 to have been able to see something right? but they only saw a sac and a little dot. Also the ultrasound could be off plus or minus by half a week correct? At least thats what me dr told me. Given my short cycle of 25 days couldnt ovulation be the 28th? Also, I know that sperm can live up to 5 days. Given these facts wouldnt it make more sense that conception was 10/25? I also divided my hcg levels by 3 for every 2 days backdated (since it normally doubles but sometimes triples) from my hcg of 1106 on 11/16 and it shows that at the most i started producing hcg on 11/2 (a week after conception) and if it doubled i started producing on 10/31. Im just really worried and need more clarity as 3% is less likely. The previous dr said theres no chance but I didnt give all these details. Thank you for your any help you can give. I do have another ultrasound scheduled next Monday.

Brief Answer:
Ultrasound is more reliable.

Detailed Answer:
Hello.
Thanks for writing again.
I can understand your concern. All your calculations are correct but the rise in HCG levels can be variable and cannot accurately predict the date of ovulation or conception. Ultrasound is considered as a more reliable method. Let us wait for your next ultrasound and then start calculating the days again. Not visualizing a fetus on 24/11 means the pregnancy at that time was nearly 5 weeks.
Hope my answer is helpful.

Thanks. They did see a tiny fetus the next day on 11/25. Does that tell you anything? I also was wrong about inteecourse on 10/25. It was 10/26 in case it changes anything. I know that I need to wait until the ultrasound but if you can answer this one last update i would very muchappreciate it. Thank you.

Brief Answer:
Additional information does not change anything.

Detailed Answer:
Seeing a tiny fetus next day does not change anything. The chances of conception before 30th are also very low.
