Is Pregnancy Possible Despite Taking I-pill?

Question: Hi doctor,

My girlfrnd and me had intercourse on 30th april and wothin hours she took ipill. She had her periods 15 days late on XXXXXXX 7th. She is having slight pain lower abdomen which we can rate as 4/10. Today she found sticky white discharge(not pure white) and she is very worried abt the discharge and pain?
Will there be any long term side effects due to ipill?

Hi dear,
I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.
Discharge from vagina and pain lower abdomen are not the side effects of I pill.
Rather,these are the symptoms of pelvic infection.
I suggest her to OBGYN specialist to get properly examined internally and get appropriate treatment timely. Antibiotics need to be given.
