Brief Answer:
Wait 4-5 days for period if recent test is negative.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thanks for writing to us. Followings are my comments:

1) According to her last period date, you did intercourse in relatively safe period. After that, she took I-Pill within 2 hrs, which will give more than 95% protection against unwanted pregnancy.

2) Light spotting or bleeding occurs due to withdrawal effect of the pill. It is quite common and most women get this type of bleeding.

3) If she undergoes pregnancy test very recently, then pregnancy is ruled out. Hormonal imbalance and stress can cause late period. Brown spotting may be due to endometrial tissue or old blood.

4) I suggest to await another 4 to 5 days to get period properly. If it doesn't happen, I can recommend Norethisterone pill (5 mg) twice daily for 5 days. You will get period within 5-7 days after stopping them.

Hope, I have answered your query. Wish your good health and practice safe sex.
