Is Pregnancy Possible Despite Beta HCG Being Negative?

Question: We are planning for baby. Last period occured on 04/12/14 and ovulation happened on 22/12/14.today is 15th day after ovulation and 2 days after expected period. Both urine and beta hcg blood test are negative with Beta test value of 1.62 done today.

No period yet....Is pregnancy still possible ?????

I understand your concern..

If you have regular periods, then your beta hcg should have been positive by now.. There is a concept called delayed conception where conception occurs a little later than normal time.. So wait for a week for spontaneous onset of periods.. If still no periods, repeat a urine pregnancy test.. If negative, take progesterone for 5 days to get withdrawal bleeding..

Beta test result is 1.62...should not it had been more if pregnant ????
i heard by 9th day after ovulation it raises to 15

Yes, it should have been more than 10 if you were pregnant.. But i would suggest to wait for another week, before taking any tablet to induce periods..

that means there is no pregnancy this cycle(since below 10)....then why did we have missed period....

she had taken GEL from bottom to help pregnancy last 4 nights

Gel may contain progesterone which might be delaying the periods.. Stop the gel and wait for a week for spontaneous onset of periods..
