Is Pregnancy Possible After An Abortion?

Question: Is there any chances of pregnancy after abortion by dmc process?how we can check that nothing has left inside or i am pregnant or not ? What if i am pregnant after the abortion?how to confirm it?her last period come on 23 may after that she missed periods of XXXXXXX we did the test that was positive.we did the dmc process on july 3 rd.please help her periods are not coming as today is 29 july.doctor suggested to take regestrone for 3 days.

I understand your concerns.

Initial few periods after abortion tend to delay and vary. Hence there is no need to worry.

You can wait till August end for periods to start as you had abortion in July. No need to take regesterone so soon. Incomplete abortion is a rare possibility.

Get serum beta hCG blood test done. This will help to know if there is pregnancy tissue left inside. You can get an ultrasound scan done if serum beta hCG blood test shows pregnancy.

No need to take regesterone.
