Brief Answer:
You need not worry. Your child would be fine

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for posting on HealthCareMagic.

Phentermine, is a psychostimulant drug that may be secreted in breast milk. For a child who gets it through breast milk, the adverse effects could include sleeplessness, weight loss and childhood obesity but only if taken on long term basis. I do not think that you need to get worried about short term exposure. Stay relaxed, she will be fine.

In case you want to play safe, for the time being you can transiently shift to other milk supplements. Please be sure to express and expell your breast milk during that period as otherwise if you do not feed your baby, your breast milk production will come down.

The duration of action of phentermine is day long. So, the effect on your child, if any, could stay for a day or two. You need not worry if the child sleeps less for a day. She will be ok.
