Brief Answer: It is a safe anxiolytic Detailed Answer: Hello Ativan is a anxiolytic ,generally safe in overdose but if taken more than 250 mg in an individual of more than 150 pounds, it can kill half of the people, the other half will survive. So if your doctor has prescribed in clinical doses of 1-2 mg, safely take it. Any more query is welcome DR SAATIISH JHUNTRRAA
