Brief Answer:
Information

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Yes, it is possible to get pregnant from what you described. While ovulation usually happens around 14 days before the next period, a woman can conceive at any time. It is much less likely during menses, but again, women have been known to conceive during and (more commonly) shortly after a period.

At this point, a morning after pill may not be effective. They need to be taken within 72 hours, and their effectiveness is highest if taken immediately.

The Copper T IUD can be used as emergency contraception effectively if inserted within 5 days. That is probably your best bet right now. In addition, it can be left in for continued contraception. I recommend trying to get in to a clinic today, such as Planned Parenthood. Tell them the situation.

I hope this information helps. Please let me know if I can provide further information.

Detailed Answer:
The morning after pill is 89% effective if taken within 72 hours of unprotected sex. After that time, the effectiveness diminishes, although it may still be helpful to some extent for up to 120 hours.

Brief Answer:
Ask pharmacist

Detailed Answer:
That I'm not sure of. You should ask the pharmacist at the drug store where you buy the morning after pill. Also, tell him/her how many hours it's been as some morning after pills are effective for longer than others after the first 24 hours. Also, some do not work if you weigh more than 165 lbs, and I don't know if that is a consideration for you.
