default
Posted on Mon, 26 May 2014
Question: Hi!
What about magnesium chloride as a supplement?
Is it good?
Is it dangerous?
Do we have "opinions" only or do we have results from thorough scientific research?
Thank you.

Brief Answer:
Not recommended

Detailed Answer:
Hello

Thanks for the query

If you are a healthy person with no issues with absorption of vitamins and minerals like in malabsoption syndromes then I do not recommend Magnesium chloride supplementation as it is known to cause magnesium toxicity and renal failure when taken in excess.

It is dangerous as magnesium toxicity is known to cause sudden cardiac death and cardiac arrhythmia

These are confirmed results from scientific data

I hope I was of help
