Is Lower Abdominal Pain Post Recovery From Diverticulitis A Symptom Of Ovarian Cancer?

default
Posted on Fri, 4 Mar 2016
Question: Just getting over diverticulitis and still have lower right and left abdominal pain.
Of course, I need to worry about another illness - could this pain be ovarian cancer?
I've had numerous CT scans over the last few months, and there were no abnormalities found other than diverticulitis.
Should I be overly concerned about ovarian cancer - I don't feel bloated but have lost some weight - mostly because I've been afraid to eat due to pain

Brief Ans-Mostly U are having Anorexia Nervosa / not Ovarian Cancer....!

HI ,Dear XXXX !! Thanks for your query to HCM.
Read and reviewed your facts in context to your health concerns.

I would rest assure you after reviewing current and few of your last queries, that you need not worry about the Ovarian Cancer at all- till it is proved by CT or by laparoscopic biopsy. sAS it is not a case from your available reports.

All your CT reports suggest Extensive Right and left Colon Diverticulitis.

In a sense this is unusual, as mostly Diverticulitis occurs with Left Colon.

Besides this the acute on chronic diverticulitis is a tricky disease, which would require BRAT diet- Banana / Rice / apple smashed porridge / with toasts for quiet along time with Yogurt as a common supplements .

This is to be taken in Low solid Volumes to begin with, for at-least 4-6 weeks in your case and that too mostly liquids initially with Low solid loads initially, to avoid bloated feeling - which may need strict dietary controls with a long cover from repeated antibiotics and antispasmodics to control repeated attacks of Diverticulitis.

Besides this-

PIP-Veloz D or Normaxin / enzyme digestants / Bentyl for severe spastic pains /Serratiopeptidase/ with High Vit B12 and Folic acid supplements would be needed.

Most important would be low volumes of liquid and solid intake for 4-6 weeks.
No spices / No outside, street food / No alcohols during this periods to suffice the list.

Hope this would help you to come out of this intriguing illness and would help you to plan treatment with your doctors there.

Welcome for any further help in this regard 24 x 7, which I would love to help you in time to come.

Good Day !!
